At the turn of the century, people came from all over the world to Mt. Clemens (known then as Bath City, USA) to enjoy the healing powers provided from the mineral springs located throughout the city. Although the bathhouses are gone, Mt. Clemens is still a great city to live in or visit. As you walk through the city, you can see beautiful Victorian and turn-of-the-century homes and buildings lining the streets. The evenings and weekends provide great restaurants, entertainment, and festivals including car shows and a spectacular 4th of July firework show. If you want a historic venue to see events or host your wedding or private party, check out the historic Emerald Theatre located right in the downtown area. The mineral baths no longer exist, but there is so much to see and do in this city rich in history.
