    Fall Fun
    Fall means orchards and hot cider and donuts! Blake's is one of the most well-known orchards and cider mills in the local area, and for good reason! Their U-pick apple orchards and pumpkin patches are the best fall time activity. I always look forward to stopping in the store after for fresh donuts and cider.     Every Third Friday, small businesses located downtown in Monroe have extended hours to celebrate and bring the local community together! This Friday, August 18th, The Conservatory plant shop is celebrating three years of business from 7:00-9:00 p.m. with live music, giveaways, cake from Cakes by Stephanie, snacks and beverages, and special plant deals! The Cilantro food truck will also be parked downtown for full meals.

    The Clamdigger in Monroe is one of my favorite spots in the summertime! Pull in and dock your boat, or just take a nice drive and enjoy the waterfront scenery! They've got live entertainment every week, great cocktails, and menu items, including their infamous Mashed Potato Pizza.

    Monroe continues to bring the community closer with all of their special events and activities!
    The Michigan Wine & Beer Portal is hosting Yoga and Wine on Wednesday, July 12th, from
    7:00-9:00 p.m.! Event tickets are available to those 21 and older for $25. Each ticket includes an hour-long yoga class on the Portal's riverfront patio, followed by a glass of your choice of wine or beer. Buy event tickets at the link included in this post. Hope to see you there!

    I don't know about you, but springtime is the best time of year! Longer days, warmer weather, and more local activities going on! One of my favorite pastimes in the spring and summer is walking the riverwalk in downtown Monroe. It's about three miles in length along the river and if you walk the whole thing, you're estimated to get about 7,000 steps! I love seeing the community walking their dogs, rollerblading, biking, or just simply having quality time with their families or alone on the riverwalk. On the next warmer day, Monroe is blessed with, and if you want to get some fresh air, walk the riverwalk!

    Monroe Beer Cooler is conveniently located near the Front St./Telegraph cross point. I love a drive-through to stock up on my favorite non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, snacks, and on-the-go necessities! The owners are always so friendly and eager to help. They've even let me call and pre-order drinks that I knew would sell out quickly, setting them aside for pickup! Next time you need to replenish your cooler or need a fresh snack, shop at small businesses and drive through the Beer Cooler!

    Public House located on Monroe St in downtown Monroe is the perfect picture of trendy and modern. Between the bright, yet cozy ambiance and friendly staff, they've always welcomed me with open arms, resulting in a positive experience every time I visit! They have a full bar with special handcrafted cocktails on special often and special menu items each month; they make it very difficult to decide what to choose! Check them out for yourself next time you venture out for breakfast/brunch, lunch, or dinner!
