Michigan is certainly cold in the wintertime, but not short of ways to ENJOY it! Michigan is chalk full of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tubing, etc. Take in the beauty of Michigan's winters on the slopes with friends, family, or even as a "me-time" activity! Linked to this post is a list of all the resorts and rentals in Michigan. You can filter by location, activity, etc.
  • What an absolute jewel Oaken Transformations Sculpture and Poetry Walk is for Brighton, Howell, and Livingston County. It is free to the public and is located on the property of, and is accessed through the waiting room of Dr. Fredric L. Bonine DDS, MS, PC. The "walk" consists of a beautiful short nature trail with thought-provoking and meditative poetry and sculptures along the way. You can walk it in 15 minutes, and it will be a nice relaxing interlude in your day. I would recommend picking a nice cool balmy day and take several hours to sit on benches along the way to contemplate, meditate, or pray in whatever path or tradition that quiets your mind and gives you meaning, purpose, and peace.

This is one short journey that could help give your life's journey a deeper and more conscious meaning. In my video I did not include close-ups of any sculpture or poetry out of respect for intellectual property rights, (I am a realtor...all about property rights). But I have included a link to their website where you can find additional details like address, hours, and contact information.
  • The Brighton Imagination Station is a nice place to take your kids. It is near the Mill Pond with its ducks and geese, the Tridge, (three spiked bridge), a half-mile nature walkway, and vibrant downtown Brighton, with shopping dining, ice cream parlors, and festivals.
